           Bruce Eason

Born 28th January, Pasadena, California, Bruce Eason grew up the eldest child of a musical family, playing piano, singing and composing his own songs. With father playing tenor sax often with mother playing piano in the clubs, life was a series of rehearsals and shows. Though clarinet and saxophone were his instruments during school hours, at 13, Bruce started gigging professionally as a vocalist and keyboardist in small combos. At 15, he was solo piano "pit orchestra" for The Bird Cage Theater in Knott's Berry Farm, California, where he also played the calliope in its circus wagon - "hawking" the vaudeville and melodrama to the passers-by.

Bruce has "rock and rolled" up north for the hardy souls in Hay River and "rhythm and bluesd" down south for the U.S. Marines at Camp Pendleton. His "fingers danced" to Duke Ellington for the tourists in the Canadian Rockies at the Banff Springs Hotel on a Steinway baby grand that Marilyn Monroe sat and sang on while shooting of River Of No Return and his "boots scooted" to Brooks and Dunn for the cowboys at the Rockyford Rodeo playing his electronic road gear when he was part of Calgary's own Momemtum Band touring their "Roads and Rodeos" CD across the Canadian West.

When the Queen of England came to Calgary for Canada Day '90, Bruce had been called to play piano as she allowed a public viewing at the Palliser Hotel.

Bruce has gigged with renowned artists Valdy, Ronnie King and Dennis Davies of The Stampeders and Phil Volk of Paul Revere And The Raiders and warmed up the stage for Doug And the Slugs, Michele Wright and Alabama. He has recorded his compositions for CHEK TV in Victoria, British Columbia and CBC in Calgary, Alberta.

For several years, Bruce has been working western Canada with Zanna & Bruce and singing, playing piano and keyboard bass as part of the McGregor Band on their club circuit. Last year he returned to his musical-theatre roots in Newman Family Productions, "Christmas with Scrooge" where he played the dashing pianist George accompanying the flamboyant Carmen (Suzanne Desmeules) in Virginia Newman's comedic lyric set to Bizet's Habenera.

Currently off the road and working on the Lucky Dog project, Bruce Eason says, "Hi .. oh, are you still working on the bio?"
